Orchestral Transcription: Audio to Full Score
Human transcription by ear, by a professional orchestrator and conductor
You have a recording and you need the sheet music for the whole orchestra. I listen to it — again and again, section by section — and write down every line: strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, harp, keyboards and choir, with dynamics, articulations and phrasing.

What is orchestral transcription?
Orchestral transcription (also called orchestra transcription or audio-to-score transcription) is the process of converting audio into written music for orchestra. Unlike automatic “audio to MIDI” tools, a human transcriber identifies which instrument plays each note, separates doublings and inner voices, and writes parts that musicians can actually read and perform.
Typical uses: performing a work in concert when no score is available, recovering a score that was lost, studying an orchestration, preparing parts for a recording session, or publishing an arrangement.
What you receive
- Full score in PDF, laid out for the conductor’s stand.
- Individual parts in PDF, with cues, rehearsal marks and clean page turns.
- Editable source file in Sibelius, Finale, Dorico or MuseScore (your choice).
- MusicXML and MIDI so you can open the project in any notation software or DAW.
Price
$30 USD per 30 seconds of audio, with unlimited revisions and 4-day standard delivery on Fiverr. The size of the ensemble does not change the price. A 3-minute track is 6 blocks: 6 × $30 = $180 USD. A 4:10 track rounds up to 9 blocks: $270 USD.
How I work
- Listening and analysis — form, key, tempo map and instrumentation.
- Section-by-section transcription — from bass line and harmony to inner voices and colour.
- Orchestral proofreading — ranges, transpositions, divisi and playability checked against the recording.
- Engraving and parts — professional layout, cues and page turns.

Orchestral transcription FAQ
How long does an orchestral transcription take?
On Fiverr the standard delivery is 4 days for a 30-second block. Longer pieces take more time depending on their length and density: the delivery date is agreed before you order, and urgent deadlines can be discussed through the contact form or Fiverr.
Can you transcribe music from a film, a concert recording or a YouTube video?
Yes. Send a link or an audio file. Orchestras often commission transcriptions of works whose score is not available, to perform them in concert.
Who holds the rights to the original music?
Arrangements and transcriptions are commissioned services: I write the score on your behalf and claim no rights over the original works. If the music is protected by copyright, the client is responsible for obtaining the necessary licences (performance, recording or publication) from the rights holders or the relevant collecting society.
What if some notes are impossible to hear?
In dense passages I reconstruct the hidden voices using orchestration logic and the style of the composer, so the result sounds like the recording when played by a real orchestra.
Can you transcribe only one part or section?
Yes — for example only the strings, a solo line or a piano reduction. The rate is the same: $30 USD per 30 seconds of audio.
Is the price higher for a large orchestra?
No. The price depends only on the duration: $30 USD per 30 seconds, whether it is a string quartet or a full symphony orchestra with choir.
Which software do you deliver in?
Sibelius, Finale, Dorico or MuseScore, plus PDF score and parts, MusicXML and MIDI.
